He used X somehow to develope this virus. This virus will prove to somehow eventually become the Maverick Virus.

ah yes, the mysterious Maverik virus, I've heard so many theories about its origin, from a coding error in Zero's program to a digital copy of Dr. Wily's mind to an intentional final measure (if Zero actually was beaten, the virus would infect the robot that killed him and turn it evil) and all I know canonically from MMX1-6 is that Zero was the original carrier and he and X are somehow immune to it, possibly because they are the original reploids.

Actually, X is immune to it because of those 30+ years of ethical testing Dr. Light put him through. Zero, however, becomes stronger when infected by it, because it brings him closer to the unstoppable killing machine he originally was.

Reply to Angel85 Zero and X aren't reploids because:

(for X) Reploids are copies of X with a few components missing (because Dr.Cain couldn't copy them)

(for Zero) He has components that replids don't have (this one is debateable)

well, I guess none of them would be where they are if it weren't for Light. every robot there is based off his design.

But the same could be said about Wily. After all they did work together. Megaman probably has some of Wily's original designs in him. With out Wily, Megaman wouldn't exist.

But wait. If Wily and Light never worked together, and that causes Megaman to never be completed, That means Wily would conquer the world without any opposition. but on the other hand, if Wily never worked with Light, he wouldn't have a basis for all of his robots, preventing years of destruction and untold amounts of property damage, so maybe the world would be better off BECAUSE Megaman doesn't exist...
