I think everyone would expect Bass to go out this way...
o.O Didn't see that coming.
He's not really dead. He lives on in all of our hearts...and in all the other trillions of megaman sprite comics on the internet. BA-ZING!
Plus... you know... they're robots... how many times have they friggin died and been put back together?
Why do I have a fealing that didn't kill Omega?
Why do I hve the feeling that Bass just used a Remote Mine and didn't blow himself up.
i think the true purpose of a self destruct device is to assure confidentiality. If the unit is captured, or about to be, the device utterly destroys every part of it, leaving nothing behind to be analyzed, and possibly taking out whoever was trying to do so in the first place. Basically, that means the Bass is truly dead, unless there is a backup copy of his memory on another system (which i doubt, because Wily figured he was of no further use) and it should have done some kind of damage to Omega, though his next-gen armor might be up to the task of protecting him.
Well, this IS kinda of a Cataclysm comic. That said, the body count might get pretty high by the end.
This isn't a Cataclysm comic Blue, if it were Omega would kill Roll, Dr. Light, and Wily too leaving NO CHARACTERS FOR THE COMIC! Omega actually works for Wily, sure he does things his own way but he has every intention of killing Bass and Megaman. Oh and if he is Zero or a Zero prototype he could survive that blast with little more than a scratch on him.
POP WENt THE ROBOT! =D
life, death, and an infanite loop of reserctions
if you include all of zero's history all the way to the end of the mega man zero games he has been killed 5 or 6 times, first: his "killed or at least left unable to operate properly after the cataclysm, second, blows himself up to kill vile (MMX), second in MMX5 theres several things tat can happen he can survive his shuttle blowing up and a fall back to earth where he is then killed in a fight with X, or you keep him and he suffers to much damage from a fight with sigma and dies ether way he dies. thirded MMX6: after this one he locks himself in a stasis tube to remove the last of wily's influences over him. now's where it gets complicated since X6 was supposed to be the end of the X seres and he's back in X7 and 8, something will eventually happen later to return him to that capsule and dr. weil will steal his body and he and X will have to fight and beat the "omega" that's joyriding in zero's body, then in zero 3 zero kills omega who is using his orgianl body (suicide?), and finally in zero 4 zero finally truly dies when he destroys the orbiting space cannon by forcing it to break apart on reentry (although several large chunks of his armor are intact so some one could mabey put him back together again)so best case sanrio for bass's self sacrifices...... i think that weakling scratched my paint, and damn it now i have split ends..... ARGH theres not even a corpse for me to kick damn it
Zero's death count might be up to 7 if you think Girouette (from ZX) is also Zero, but that might be stretching believability a bit much. (ZX was kinda confusing, especially since no one knows how the X series ends yet.) Also, who said anyone was gonna survive this comic? Not that I know anything...
Meanwhile...I don't think this was a self-destruct. Notice that Bass said '*I* was saving for Mega Man', not 'Wily was saving for Mega Man'. Unfortunately, I don't know the MM series enough to know what weapon might involve a point-blank range explosive device (an exploding Met-head, maybe? ;-) )
Actually, I remember in the first iteration of this comic Bass tried to use his self destruct, but Wily disabled it, and later Protoman used HIS self destruct (enhanced by a flaw in his power source) to try and destroy Zero, it was enough to blow him in half, but Zero's mutilated body still functioned enough to shoot up a probe bot sent to investigate, despite the fact he had no legs.
for zero's X5 death he get's bisected and loss's his power core (from what i could see, he was also missing his left arm and his armor was cracked and broken) and he still retained enuf power to get off a single fully charged Z Buster shot and kill sigma, he then has his last words
heh, i remember that memorable scene, but then when he comes back in X6 and casually writes it off as "yeah, i was really badly damaged so I went into hiding to repair myself" How he managed to crawl away with only one arm, a hole in his chest, no legs, and then hide from the army of reploids who tried to find his remains is beyond me.
and that is why even if bass should have some how, agesnt all odds critaculy damaged omega/zero (hmm omega zero that sounds like an interesting project title or code name) he'll have only bought the outers..... DEAR GOD HE FULLY REPAIRED HIMSELF IN 3 WEEKS!!(i have the MMX collection (X6 takes place only 3 weeks after X5) and I'm a MMX/ zero fan thought about doing a serous comic about zero and his inere turmoil and conflicts but never got around to it
Again I must point out that this is most likely a Zero prototype and not Zero OR if it is the real Zero he's obviously not finished yet, if he were he would have known Bass and Megaman weren't dead yet :P
Anyways, Mega Man has to go down. If not dead, at least in critical condition where repairs aren't going to take a short amount of time. Otherwise, we have no comic.
Not really. Truth be told, Im a bit of a perfectionist myself, but Im also creative so it could be a conflict of interests. Either way Ive put a lot of work into making sure that things are accurate, but by accurate I mean not directly going against anything revealed in the games (even when something in the games goes against other things in the games). However, I do go against facts that people have just come to assume and are mistaken as actual facts. The big problem becomes that if I try to hard to clarify the facts, I run the risk of giving away the rest of the story. So basically, just take what you want from the story, and if you think something is horribly wrong, you might be right and you might be wrong. And if you want to voice your opinion, go for it. But if youre reading someone elses opinion, dont assume its correct either. Mega Man lore is filled with a lot of assumptions, but people wouldnt have made so many assumptions if they didnt enjoy the stories so much. That, or if Capcom was better at filling plotholes, but come on, its just a video game.
why do it get the feeling something related to a crappy dbz thing is gonna happen?think about it.majin vageta, after knocking out his rival, fought majin buu...BLEW HIM SELF UP!....but buu just regenerated
Shit there goes my second favorite character.
